Hello GWC/Warhammer Joint Gamers!
Last weekend, Dilmah and I, attended a Games Club meeting in Kyneton, which is a great oppurtunity for mintiture model gamers to meet, battle, and have a good time.
And the Games Club isn't limited simply to Warhammer- models of all kinds can be adapted quickly, so we can all get stuck into the good stuff-gaming-a lot quicker.
Anyway, the purpose of Dilmah and I going to Kyneton was so that we could introduce our very own Warhammer Joint Rules into the masses!
Upon setting up my Skaven army (that included LOTR Urak-Hai and Orcs as temporary Clanrats); and Dilmah setting up his Blood Elven army (LOTR models- but our own race); we were met with many an intrigued look, some, asking questions, wanting to know more about our project.
Mission accomplished! ;D
Three other gamers watched us play, as we both briefly talked about everything Warhammer Joint Rules has to offer. They then asked if they could join us in, and so, as we finished our match, our newfound Warhammer Joint gamers wrote up a Chaotic Joint army list, using Warhammer 40K models, and other models outside of Warhammer.
Who knows, perhaps Warhammer Joint Publications could spread it's branches even further?
We finished our battle, (I slaughtered Dilmah, by the way), and I then took on the three gamers by myself, Dilmah having supposedly "seen enough blood."
I was in genuine trouble as my rats were eaten, beaten, and killed by the forces of a Joint Chaos army. I needed a real gem to get me back in to the fray!
And then, I found it.
One of my Grey Seers had been consumed by a vampire. However, due to a certain magic item, and the consequences it had on one particular model, bough the Chaos army to it's knees.
I had one, again.
Two of the gamers then had to leave, and so we provided them with the URL to this site.
The other, arranged to stay a little longer than he himself had anticipated, and battled Dilmah and myself in two quick skirmish scenarios.
Having had such a great response, Dilmah and I will try to come back next weekend.
That date- should be- Sunday, the 25th of Feburary.
Please come along to Kyneton (more specific location details as I learn them), and bring any models you like.
For those interested in playing a Joint Rules game, bring any of the following armies: Men, Chaos, Skaven, Elves (Wood/High/Dark), Dwarves, or Orcs (and Goblins).
Hope to see you there!
Gumnut.
