The Coming of the Elf’s
Written by Imperial Historian and Cartographer Omegas.

The Awakening
It is said as the Spell Caster Argbarea started to cast his arcane spell to open the portal into the underworld a strange noise was heard in the Moorbest and Evergreen forests. Villages described it as a piercing noise, which sounded as if it was attempting to suck the very soul from the wood. This was followed by a large thunder clap and earth tremors. Then after only seconds everything returned to silence. The villager returned to there homes shaken and praying to the Emperor, but in the quiet silence of the forest a shimmering waygate was standing in the gap between to arched trees. In front off it stood five men each glowing with different colored auras.
“So it has began,” said one.
The five then spent several hours casting varying spells, then as suddenly as they appeared the stepped back into the waygate.
The Return
For some years the waygate remained untouched, as it was invisible to eyes that were not allowed to see it. Then just as the storm that brought the demons into the Desert of Nal Thia reached its pitch strange ethereal creatures broke through the shimmering surface of the waygate, the first had long ears and billowing white capes. These where the twelve Spellsingers sent to guard the forest’s of M’ia-B’yan against Chaos and any other force that attempted to gain entry into their sacred realm. The Spellsingers started their strange and eerie song, which was heard all across the deserts and seas of M’ia-B’yan. In his dark citadel Lord Al’Rashard cursed and screamed as he knew he reign was now challenged, the elves had returned from across the sea and would do whatever it took to deny M’ia-B’yan to chaos.
After the twelve came a continues stream of the creatures, all resembling a vaguely human shape with pointed feet and ears, all wearing one of five colors red, yellow, white, green and blue. These creatures set about building their leafy green fortress. All off a sudden there was a hush among the ranks of the normal warriors; all through those building did not stop. Only keep deathly quiet. Out off the portal came a regiment of sixty to seventy soldiers wearing capes that appeared to blend into their soundings. They came out of the waygate and disappeared into the forest. Within three hours reports where trickling into the Empire that the city of Gilneed had been destroyed, its battalion scattered by a group of unseeable enemies. New battalions where dispatched but when they reached the city they found it utterly deserted. No bodies, no signs of life. They sent their troubled reports back, “What are these unseen monsters”.
